Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and presentation of Continental dishes such as pastas, grills, steaks, salads, and sauces
Ensure all mise en place is completed prior to service
Follow recipes and presentation standards set by the CDP or Sous Chef
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in your work area
Support kitchen operations during busy hours
Monitor food stock and report shortages
Ensure proper use of kitchen equipment and report any issues
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in Continental cuisine (Commis 2 or equivalent)
Familiarity with ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation of Continental dishes
Ability to follow instructions and take initiative when needed
Good communication skills and a strong team spirit
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
Food safety and hygiene certification is a plus
