Job Description

A Continental Commis 3 is an entry-level to junior cook in a hotel or restaurant kitchen, responsible for assisting senior chefs with food preparation (chopping, basic cooking), maintaining hygiene, stocking workstations, and plating dishes according to standard recipes, focusing specifically on Continental (European/Western) cuisine, ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards like HACCP. Key Responsibilities

Food Prep:

Washing, peeling, chopping ingredients; basic cooking tasks like grilling, frying, or boiling under supervision.

Station Management:

Keeping your assigned section clean, organized, and stocked with necessary prep items (mise en place).

Hygiene & Safety:

Adhering strictly to food safety, sanitation (HACCP), and personal hygiene standards; cleaning equipment and work areas.

Plating & Presentation:

Helping plate dishes as directed, ensuring they meet quality and presentation standards.

Support:

Assisting senior chefs (Chef de Partie, Sous Chef) with daily tasks, receiving deliveries, and managing inventory.

Pay: ₹9,955.06 - ₹20,000.00 per month
