We are looking for a Content Ingestion Specialist to join Energy Abstracts. This is an amazing opportunity to work for Petroleum Abstracts. Petroleum Abstracts is an abstracting and indexing service within Energy Abstracts, that enables users to search the world\xe2\x80\x99s petroleum literature to quickly and easily identify, and ultimately acquire published works that are most relevant to their research. Members of the Energy Abstracts team are friendly and supportive of each other.

The team consists of 10 members and reports to the Senior Manager, Delivery Management. We would love to speak with you if you have strong spelling, grammar, and editorial skills in English, have excellent typing skills, and can work well in a team environment.

About You \xe2\x80\x93 experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

Six months of job-related experience or the equivalent

Type 50 words per minute with 90% accuracy rate

Strong spelling, grammar, and editorial skills in English

Intermediate proficiency utilizing personal computer

High School graduation or equivalent education substitute

It would be great if you also had . . .

Familiarity with bibliographic citations for various types of literature

Experience with Linux environment

Bachelor in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field

What will you be doing in this role?

Edit and proofread rough drafts of abstracts of journal articles, conference papers, government reports, and patents

Enter data, including bibliographic information, for abstracts of journal articles, conference papers, government reports and patents

Process and log journals and technical information for processing by the Scientific and Technical Analysis Group for indexing

Prepare a portion of the final Petroleum Abstracts bulletin for release routinely

Assist with acquisition of source materials, including downloading.

Communicate with other teams within Energy Abstracts for workflow fulfillment

Petroleum Abstracts was established over 60 years ago and specializes in upstream Petroleum information expanding our alternative energy coverage. Our customers consist of the top oil and gas companies, academic, and government agencies worldwide. Your colleagues will be editors that specialize in various content types such as conferences, journals, and government reports and who work with other Energy Abstracts team members to facilitate workflow.

Hours of Work

Permanent, full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday
