Product Content Testing Specialist
DQWR Product Content Testing (PCT) Team provides a cross-asset pool of expertise that is utilized to rigorously test and improve the data, analytics, and products for internal and external clients. The product content testing specialist is responsible for leading testing activities, conducting testing, reporting problems found to the appropriate groups, and maintaining an appropriate level of communication with all parties involved. The product content testing specialist is required to have expertise in several financial asset classes and will be working with minimum supervision to perform testing tasks that contribute to the overall functions of testing, assessing, and reporting issues regarding Refinitiv products.
Working for this team will challenge you to use your technical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills to identify errors and problems in a variety of financial information databases and products.
Job Requirements:
The ability to handle complexity and think logically with incredible attention to detail
Deep understanding of our Flagship products (EIKON, Datascope Suite (DSS, DSP, DSE, DSFI…etc) and the mapping to our Database
Strong cross-asset knowledge on content sets like Corax, Exchange Traded Content/ ETI, Company Financials, ESG ..etc.
Develop product measurements – end to end Product checks
Ability to track down complex data quality and data integration issues, evaluate different algorithmic approaches, and analyze data to solve problems. Curiosity about the details of datasets is essential
Conduct data and analytics acceptance testing, including common factor analysis for the discrepancy
Professional demeanor, and a diplomatic attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills essential
Ability to work independently while at the same time not moving away from a team role
Ability to grasp concepts and technical systems quickly and work on projects independently without much guidance
Experience writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures and loading data into a variety of database systems. (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) is expected.
An understanding of Project management, Testing, quality management methodologies and concepts.
Developing and broadening your skills through mentoring and collaboration with experienced professionals

Key Responsibilities:
Assume responsibility for the planning and leading analytical testing projects, including creating the analytical testing ideas, performing testing and delivering final reports, and translating end user needs to requirements (preferably using design thinking methodologies)
Work independently with Content groups to resolve and provide solutions for product or content issues affecting the quality of information on the products
Develop automated testing tools to improve testing efficiency
Lead projects, remove obstacles and taking ownership to find creative solutions
Manage all level stakeholder engagements to discover problems and use cases as well as to translate the business impact of ongoing and completed projects. Report status of testing projects to Content stakeholders, Product Management, and Development
Becoming an expert at certain domains of knowledge and particular tools/techniques.
Able to quickly spot more subtle errors in data and analyses.
Ensures that results are reproducible, correct, and actionable.
Can spot data quality issues with an ability to spot data, pipeline and model problems.
Build domain expertise in financial market content and in Refinitiv data and products
Continuously build knowledge and skills to keep up to date with developments in testing technology and data analysis
Demonstrate commitment, proactive attitude and teamwork at all times
Perform other assignments as requested

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL
Strong written, communication and presentation skills. Able to respond and present work to peers, answer in-depth questions, accept constructive feedback, and modify work product accordingly.
Technical skills in SQL, Java, Python or equivalent is a plus
Relational database skills
In-depth knowledge of products including Eikon, Datascope and Datastream is helpful
Able to handle large quantities of data without drowning in it
Narrate stories (to technical and mostly non-technical audience) about our content and processes by data analysis and visualization.
Strong sense of algorithm: can think rigorously, anticipate how to identify common problems such as missing data, able to build re-usable modules of code that can be understood by peers.
