The Content Ingestion Analyst searches a variety of U.S. and international websites to identify and acquire relevant statistical publications that meet our collection criteria in electronic format (PDFs). We have a great reputation for acquiring, researching, abstracting, and indexing statistical content and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in acquisitions work. About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Bachelor\'s degree or higher in related field, such as Publishing, Business, Government/Political Science, History, Library/Information Science, Customer Service, plus at least 2 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years of experience in an office or library environment using computers and other office technology with a focus on customer experience. Experience acquiring content that may include downloading large sets of documents, printing HTML to PDF, converting Word docs to PDF, converting CSV/Excel tables to PDF, text formatting, image redaction, and other document creation tasks. Experience creating and updating bibliographic records, tracking and importing documents, verifying end of production cycle completeness, detecting and correcting errors, general problem solving, and other related tasks as assigned. Strong knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and writing skills, and an ability to express ideas clearly and logically. It would be great if you also had . . . Familiarity with government, history, and politics (mainly U.S.) Knowledge of databases, data analysis, periodicals, and statistics. Strong communication skills in a global environment. What will you be doing in this role Acquiring comprehensive collection of statistical content in timely manner. Converting online text/tables and publications from other formats to PDF. Performing meticulous document control and accuracy tasks. Creating compilations of documents for American Statistics Index, Index to International Statistics, and/or Statistical Reference Index products. Product you will be developing Statistical Insight product line About the Team The team works on statistical publications from the U.S. Government, state governments, foreign governments, intergovernmental organizations, universities and research centers, independent research organizations, trade and professional associations, non-profit groups, business organizations, and commercial publishers. The Content Ingestion Analyst identifies and acquires content from assigned agencies/sectors in electronic format. The PQSI acquisitions team consists of six people and is reporting to the Content Manager in India.
