Job Description


A sharp and smart individual who is a quick learner. The role is to review and edit the content/manuscript sent by authors, as per the style guidelines. An editor needs to assess whether the content matches the information provided in the book outline. You need to make sure that the structure and flow of the content caters to the needs of the target audience.CDEs work closely with the author(s) to develop content and provide support for them. Check for sentence structuring, punctuation, spelling, and grammatical errors in the content. You will be the single point of contact for the author(s) during the development phase, after the book is handed over to them by the Acquisition Editor(AE). Address queries or concerns raised by the technical reviewers of the book and act as intermediaries between the author(s) and technical reviewers. Schedule activities to ensure that content is received in a timely manner, and also accommodates any delays that occur. As CDEs work on more than one title at a time, they must allocate their time and focus among titles equally to avoid missing any deadlines. Publish titles as per the Expected Publishing Dates which include timely follow-up with authors. Skills Required : Excellent command of English language Good communication skills : Verbal and written Ability to quickly adapt and learn Interest in learning about new & emerging technologies.
