- Able to proofread, restructure as well as edit content to improve readability, and provide comments to the writers wherever required
- Validate the content piece for authenticity, contextuality, readability and highlight areas of rework to writers
- Fact check as well as verify the references and research
- Plan, coordinate, write and edit content for different content types, and align with the extended team on projects and delivery timelines. Supervise a team of writers and coordinate with freelance contributors / agencies
- Maintaining best practices and developing content standards and checklists pertaining to compliance, voice and tone. Ensure all-around consistency inline with said benchmarks
- Ensure that each content piece meets all SEO and content benchmarks, before passing it for publishing to the SEO team
- Analyze data and analytics, and aim to increase metrics associated with content engagement and visitor retention on blog posts
- Work together with the content team on ideation and research for innovative content ideas. Contribute towards the overall content strategy, and thought leadership pieces for select publications
- Provide objective guidance and constructive feedback to peers/content writers
- This role involves working with the extended marketing team to create engaging content pieces, across several formats panning different initiatives
- Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills are essential for this position
- Strong time management skills, as well as the ability to pay attention to details is a must
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Journalism, English, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an editor, or similar position
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledgeable about the fundamentals of SEO
- Highly organized & detail oriented
