Work you\'ll do The primary role of the Manager is to make direct contributions to client\'s team by assisting client through the setting up or expanding shared services across various competency like IT, Finance, HR etc. The role will entail advising clients on their sustainability reporting, goals, operating model, driving technology led transformation programs, sourcing strategy and vendor portfolio optimization. The responsibilities of current role may include: Support business groups and units by working with business teams to align their innovation strategy with sustainability commitments Handle external sustainability reporting, including annual reports and third-party ESG reports Support data collection and reporting processes to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations We expect this to be fungible role - spanning across sustainability, supplier led transformation, vendor management, program management and also extending to supporting other GCC and GIC engagements Good working knowledge of Contract management, contract performance and governance, GIC and shared services operating models Transition and transformation plan validations for contracting activities Support GBS/GCC setup by strategizing across design, build, run, transform, and innovate spectrum Lead multiple complex technology led or VMO/GBS related transformation programs/IT Outsourcing Programs Understanding of metrics on various factors such as Energy, Water etc., (cost savings, CO2, water, etc.), analyse the expenditure and annual savings/benefits from sustainability initiatives adopted Transition and transformation plan validations for contracting activities Coordinate with project leads to allocate budget for sustainability initiatives Obtaining signoffs and agreements with various teams at the proposal phase Maintain relationships with internal and external teams, such as those in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Customer Development, and Marketing Alignment with countries and regions in scope on the SLAs - targets, dependencies, etc. Providing inputs on governance where needed Provide inputs to negotiating positions and negotiation strategy for geographies Support in negotiation as required to get commercially acceptable, agreed contracts Create sustainability SoPs, audit documents, alignment notes (with other business reporting such as BRSR, CSR, ESG etc) that can help institutionalize impact led sustainability within the organization Establish and optimize best practices for contracting, negotiations, vendor services implementation and ongoing performance monitoring and management Act as a subject matter expert, and contribute to the contracting and negotiation activities Develop and integrate sustainability goals and plans into overall business strategy Monitor progress towards sustainability goals and develop a system to manage sustainability programs Manage, build and effectively leverage client relationships Assist leadership to take strategic decisions Leverage the standardized global program structure tools, templates and methodologies and draw learnings from other geographies All commercials related to consulting engagements Mentor and lead the team for the same Educate and engage our employees and senior leaders to build knowledge and capability on sustainability Work with internal and client teams to develop and implement work plan Collaborate with business teams to create plans that promote sustainability, drive growth, cut costs, and mitigate risks Work closely and collaboratively with teams to analyse client operations, gather data, brainstorm potential options, and make recommendation Conduct appropriate market research and analysis to provide insights to client team Stay informed of industry developments and incorporate outside perspectives to maintain a leading edge in sustainability Qualifications A strong and demonstrated interest in consulting specially in thinking through large and complex exercises with 8-10 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in driving client engagements and programs. Experience in dealing with clients on a day-to-day basis and managing client interactions independently Identifying capabilities, addressing challenges to growth, and demonstrating the ability to plan and mitigate effectively Experience of executing technology led transformation programs Experience in the consulting/industry in sustainability, including regulatory understanding of sustainability/ESG trends Past experience of service delivery through vendor management Excellent academic credentials for both undergraduate and graduate coursework. MBA preferred Strong understanding and competency in decarbonization, ESG Standards, ESG solutions, and technology related to delivering promised value proposition for clients Sound understanding of corporate sustainability risks across various industry sectors Experience applying standards, procedures, and processes to implement management system and/or regulatory requirements Strong advanced excel skill Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor Willingness and ability to take initiative and learn independently Expertise in one or more share services functions such as Finance, HR, Procurement, IT operations is preferred Exposure to Vendor mgmt. strategy, Operationalizing vendor management operations is a plus Good understanding of DevOps/Agile, ADM methodology, familiarity with IT infrastructure considerations, Data center operations, cloud etc. is a plus Proficient user of Microsoft suite (advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Key Skills Understand objectives for clients and Deloitte, align own work to objectives and set personal priorities Build relationships and communicate effectively in order to positively influence peers and other stakeholders Expertise in setting up the Center of Excellence for clients Good networking and influencing skills Good business awareness, understanding the broader context in which delivery has an impact on overall business performance Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver commitments on time and budget Confident leadership and influencing style, being able to make an immediate impact with client stakeholders Your role as a leader At Deloitte India, we believe in the importance of leadership at all levels.
