We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

• Expertise in software development
• Promoting development standards, code reviews, mentoring, knowledge sharing
• Adopting our DevOps culture
• Product and feature design, scrum story writing
• Data Engineering and Management
• Product support & troubleshooting

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Ability to build data models using Hadoop technologies.
• Experience with most of the following technologies (Apache Hadoop, Scala, Apache Spark, YARN, Hive, HBase , Map Reduce, SQL, Java/Scala, RESTful services).
• Sound working knowledge on Unix/Linux Platform
• Programming experience in Java or Scala.
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines using Hadoop components Sqoop, Hive, Pig, and Spark SQL.
• Must have experience with developing Hive QL, UDF's for analysing semi structured/structured datasets.
• Experience with industry standard version control tools (Git, GitHub), automated deployment tools (Ansible & Jenkins) and requirements management in JIRA.
• Understanding of data modelling techniques using relational and non-relational techniques.
• Coordination between Onsite and Offshore.
• Experience on Debugging the Code issues and then publishing the highlighted differences to the development team/Architects.

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

Nice to have Python, Elastic, Cloud, ELK experience.
