We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. The position is open at HSBC Pune office.

Principal responsibilities

• Analysis, Design, coding, unit testing, deployment for requirements and troubleshooting in case of any issues.
• Design solutions and development for supporting applications
• Ability to apply new technology changes for transforming applications to emerging technologies like Cloud
• Provide support and solutions to production issues faced and work effectively with stakeholders involved
• Database designing, PL SQL, performance tuning of queries
• Identify the opportunity for automation and design/build end to end solutions
• Adaptable team player, able to work and deliver in a dynamic changing environment
• Work with team to support the move to DevOps and Agile working practices

Requirements

• A Bachelor\'s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Expert development knowledge and experience in Java 8/11, Spring Framework, Spring boot, Hibernate, J2EE technology, Angular JS, NodeJS.
• Development Experience in Microservice architecture and ability to write REST API, Javascript/JQuery
• Strong knowledge and experience in Oracle, PostGre SQL, PL SQL development, performance tuning.
• Strong work experience on hosting applications and using external GCP cloud products - Cloud SDK, Cloud Shell, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud IAM.
• Knowledge and experience on key infrastructure products such as Linux, TOMCAT, Liberty
• Experience in CICD tooling and building pipeline using like Jenkins, Sonar, IQ Scan, Docker, AppD, Sonar, Checkmarx, Git, Ansible, Nexus
• Well versed with Maven, Ant Build, UNIX Shell, Python scripting, Control M
• Experience of Agile/Scrum principles and best practices with Jira and Confluence
• Solid understanding of change management process
• Willing to learn, explore and implement new and emerging technologies.
• Strong sense with understanding of the business requirement.
• Sound communication skills and good command on spoken English to interact with Business directly.
• Strong analytic skills to understand and resolve complex problems.
• Excellent team player with ability to work under minimal supervision.

Additional skills

• Knowledge on external cloud such as AWS, Azure.
• Experience in Cloud migration of applications from On-Prem
• Exposure to REACT
• Exposure to Custody and Securities Services will be preferred.
