We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of SQL Consultant Specialist In this role, you will have:

• Responsible for Technical Delivery of SQL Server Database Support for Business Delivery.
• Engaging with Business Users, Analyzing the Requirements, Planning and Implementation of Patching, Migrations and Upgradation of Environments.
• Providing support for New Projects, Environment Setups, Planning Backup and Disaster Recovery.
• Plan, implement and maintain recovery procedures and emergency disaster recovery plans.
• Investigate and provide solutions to Database Performance related issues, Query Tuning, Analyzing Environment Resources & Capacity.
• Good knowledge in Change Management, Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis.
• Work experience in Agile Model, Kanban, Jira, Confluence.
• Contribute in Transformation and Automation Initiatives.
• Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals.
• Understanding of customer needs to successfully manage and grow customer relationships.
• Enforce HSBC Standards & Processes and adherence to compliance of all internal controls.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Experience in Installing, configuring, troubleshooting Failover cluster and SQL Always On Environments.
• Strong Hands on experience in MS SQL Server DBA skills on SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016 & 2019.
• Experience in SQL Server Upgradation and Migration of Databases.
• Experience in Applying SQL Patches and troubleshooting patching failure issues.
• Troubleshooting and Performance tuning of SQL Server Databases.
• Experience in MSBI tools.
• Experience in writing TSQL & Power shell scripts.
• Knowledge on Cloud Platform will be an added advantage.
• Comfortable working in flexible environment.
• Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities.
• Relevant DevOps tool knowledge.
• Suggest & implement best-in-call industry practices in the projects, as applicable.
• Implement Shared delivery in terms of understanding & training the teams on project specific technical aspects.
• Excellent Communication and Interpretation Skills.
