Job Description

Role Overview
The organization is seeking an experienced Consultant to support ongoing and upcoming projects in the Social Sector and Education domain. The role requires hands-on experience working with Central or State Government agencies and the ability to contribute to policy design, program implementation, research, monitoring, and stakeholder coordination.
The Consultant will work closely with government departments, academic bodies, NGOs, and other sectoral stakeholders to support large-scale social impact and education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Implementation & Support
Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring social sector or education-related government projects.
Work with departments at national and state levels to support program roll-out, field operations, and capacity-building initiatives.
Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered as per timelines and quality standards.
2. Research, Analysis & Policy Support
Conduct research, data analysis, and literature reviews to support policy recommendations.
Assist in preparing concept notes, policy briefs, reports, and presentations for government stakeholders.
Provide insights based on evidence, best practices, and field observations.
3. Stakeholder Management
Liaise with Central and State Government officials, NGOs, academic institutions, and implementation partners.
Support workshops, consultations, training programs, and review meetings.
Build strong working relationships with project partners and beneficiaries.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare detailed project documentation including progress reports, MIS updates, monitoring checklists, and assessment tools.
Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely submission of deliverables.
Support development of proposals and client presentations as required.
5. Field Support & Evaluation
Conduct field visits to assess program implementation and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.
Support third-party evaluations, impact assessments, and data verification activities.
Document findings and provide actionable recommendations.
Required Qualifications
BE / B.Tech / MBA / PGDM / Post-Graduate degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Education, Management, or a relevant discipline.
Minimum 4 years of professional experience in social sector or education-related roles.
Must have worked in at least one Central or State Government project in areas such as:
Social sector program implementation
Education programs or reforms
Policy advisory or research
Government consulting or program management
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of government systems, social sector programs, and education ecosystem.
Excellent research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prepare high-quality documentation, reports, and presentations.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working with government officials and field teams.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Attributes
Experience with development sector projects supported by government, NGOs, or multilateral agencies.
Exposure to education programs, curriculum initiatives, teacher training, or social welfare schemes.
Ability to travel for field assignments and stakeholder engagements.
Strong communication and facilitation skills.
