General Mills India Center (GIC) operates out of Mumbai and supports the global operations of General Mills. The center was established in 2005 and has grown in strength. Job Overview
Role: Consultant - DevOps
Location: Mumbai
We have an exciting opportunity to join the DevOps, SRE and Integration Engineering team to advance the Integration Engineering practice toward scalable and cloud ready vision through automation, DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

We are looking for someone with extensive experience across the Software development lifecycle and either has prior experience or is willing to learn how to develop application that integrates with Infrastructure.

Role Responsibilities

• Implement new technologies/Self service capability to build future of Integration/Middleware capabilities and how applications are built and delivered.
• Collaborate with application architects to build common Integration components/Patterns that accelerate the modernization of application in cloud and ensure the stability and scalability of our internal systems
• Drive continuous improvement by adopting the right vendor technologies to support applications, in areas such as monitoring, operational task automation, continuous integration, deployments and performance tuning
• Investigate and resolve complex and multi-faceted issues, spanning the entire technology stack, which require working across teams and technology boundaries
• Proactively improve site reliability and key metrics, such as up-time, application performance, time to issue resolution, time spent resolving incidents and other key operational SLAs

Must - have technical skills and experience

• 8+ years of overall Application Development Experience
• 3+ of relevant Experience with DevOps and DevOps tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Terraform, Kubernetes, Unit Test etc
• Application development experience with messaging brokers (Kafka), API Gateway, Enterprise search index tools (Elastic) and Secrets Management tools (HashiCorp Vault)
• Experience supporting Application delivery platform with delivery end points across Cloud providers and technologies (PaaS, PaaS, Container)
• Deep knowledge of Object Oriented Programming
• Strong knowledge of C# and the .NET framework
• Experience in developing APIs
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks and libraries, such as React, Angular, Vue, etc.
• Ability to write effective unit, integration, and end-user automation tests
• Experience with database systems, with knowledge of SQL and NoSQL stores (e.g. SQL Server, MongoDB, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
• Ability to troubleshoot technical and performance problems

Good to have skills

• Experience running .NET Core applications on Linux in containers
• Experience managing environments via infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with container ecosystem/technologies, such as Kubernetes, and the deployment/monitoring of those systems.
• Experience working with Agile teams
• Experience with Infrastructure as a code
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
