SIM is a department of ~500 people based in Toulouse (France), Hamburg & Bremen (Germany), Getafe (Spain) Filton (UK), Mobile (US), Beijing (China), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). Our main missions are:

• 
  Retrofit Solutions: Deliver and Support added value Retrofit solution packages to maintain continued aircraft airworthiness and improve Customers Operations & profitability
• 
  Maintenance Program Engineering: Deliver customer value through an array of services (from business development to the preparation of Planned Maintenance Service products, maintenance program optimization exercises and Parking & Storage)

• 
  Scheduled Maintenance Services: Support the operation and maintenance of all Airbus aircraft and all customers worldwide, from development of initial requirements to deviation management and optimization of maintenance tasks.
• 
  GSE Engineering: Engineering activities related to GSE & Tools (including Design, Services, Manufacturing Engineering & Front desk) for all Airbus aircraft and all customers worldwide

The job holder will be responsible for the definition and integration of retrofit design solutions for XWB Family post aircraft delivery. Contributions to A320, A330/A340 and A380 Family projects may arise in a second step.

Requirements

Experience Level Needed: 3 to 5 years as Connectivity Retrofit Engineer

• 
  Define and integrate CNX retrofit design solutions for SA, LR, DD, XWB family aircraft post delivery
• 
  Manage CNX modifications including electrical and mechanical interfaces
• 
  Adapt CNX modification related cabin and cockpit systems
• 
  Coordinate of design activities in terms of time, cost and quality

• 
  Manage, negotiate and validate internal and external engineering work packages
• 
  Give guidance to subcontractors and project stakeholders
• 
  Check and release of retrofit design drawings, having few DOS delegations
• 
  Prepare and follow-up of all relevant certification documents
• 
  Support airworthiness activities

• 
  Support Safety Management System (SMS)
• 
  Support SQCDP lean management system
• 
  Provide engineering data to SB Production and other internal customers
• 
  Participate technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• 
  Provide SB embodiment support remote/on-site (worldwide),

• 
  Be reactive in solving customer requests via TechRequest
• 
  Contribute regional events (workshops, webinars etc.)
• 
  Manage customer escalations
• 
  Seek continuous Improvement in the processes
• 
  Lead technical part of projects

• 
  Satisfy Customer expectations in term of safety, quality, lead time and cost

For this position the following skills are requested

• 
  Technical project management experience and proficiency in handling of typical design tools, such as CCD, CATIA V5, APS, 3DCOMM, PASS SSI, TAKSY/GILDA, CIRCE and ICC are required
• • 
    Knowledge of aircraft Systems configuration management and Aircraft maintenance

• • 
    Proactive, good team player and good organisational skills.

    Communication skills and assertiveness.

    English Advanced level is mandatory
