About you and this role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Cybersecurity Specialist and Cyber Security Risk Assessor to join our Information Security Services (ISS) team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying and evaluating potential security risks, assessing vulnerabilities, and providing recommendations for risk mitigation. This may also include managing Dow\xe2\x80\x99s vulnerability management solutions, overseeing integration and maintenance of vulnerability management platforms. This position requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment methodologies, network security operations and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Risk identification and assessment by conducting thorough assessments of information systems, applications, and infrastructure to identify potential security risks and analyze impact risk assessment methodologies to analyze and quantify the impact and likelihood of identified risks.
  • Managing vulnerability management solutions and assist in integration with other security solutions.
  • Vulnerability analysis using automated tools, manual testing, and collaboration with relevant teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Documentation and reporting of identified vulnerabilities, associated risks, and recommended mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate security controls for effectiveness and providing recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
  • Compliance monitoring to ensure that cybersecurity practices align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Communication and collaboration with other cybersecurity professionals, IT teams, and business units and managing service escalations for vulnerabilities or vulnerability management solutions.
  • Continuous improvement by staying informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC are a plus.
  • Proven experience of 3 or more years in conducting cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, IT audits & compliance or related activities.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management frameworks, vulnerability management, network firewalls, compliance processes and industry standards.
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with common cybersecurity tools and technologies for vulnerability assessment.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks e.g., NIST CSF, ISO, SOX, etc.
Additional notes
