Job Description


This role reports to the VP, Total Rewards, with accountability for driving and influencing the design, development and execution of Hillenbrand\xe2\x80\x99s Global Compensation programs, processes and initiatives. Focus areas will be job architecture, annual salary and annual incentive planning, compensation analysis and offer development, market analysis, salary structure development, and sales compensation. This role requires the ability to lead on a variety of projects from start to finish as well as strong communication skills in supporting our global HR community.

  • Be a subject matter expert on all compensation topics (e.g., job leveling, salary, bonus, sales incentives, LTIC, market data) from a global perspective considering the markets Hillenbrand and the operating companies operate.
  • Responsible for ongoing research and compensation analysis to support business decision making.
  • Working directly with HR Leaders and other Compensation Partners to provide support and guidance on global compensation programs. Key focus on communication and training for HR and People Managers.
  • Part of team responsible for compensation program benchmarking regionally and globally, working with external survey providers.
  • Actively partnering with the Digital HR team on system implementation and process improvements
  • Support M&A initiatives as needed, especially in matters relating to compensation elements.
  • Support the HRLT on other Total Reward matters as necessary.
  • Embed Hillenbrand\xe2\x80\x99s purpose, core values and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practices across compensation processes in our Operating Companies and Future Systems
  • Build internal/external relationships through influence and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Drive a global standardization process, recognizing local dependencies, to create more efficiency within Hillenbrand and our Operating Companies.
Basic Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of experience in HR, particularly in Compensation management in progressive and global organizations
  • A Bachelor\xc2\xb4s degree in a related field, particularly with a numerate background.
  • Advanced skill level in PowerPoint/Excel, including use of V-Lookups, macros and pivot tables, is required.
  • Proven record of building and utilizing a data focused mindset to tell a story and drive solutions
  • Strong communicator with the ability to understand global cultures
Great to Haves:
  • Ability to communicate concisely and persuasively in writing as well as the ability to draft clear and effective reports, policies, etc.
  • M&A due diligence and integration experience
  • Project management skills. Ability to follow through and complete tasks on time.
  • Knowledge of global benefits design is a plus
  • Solution-minded; desire to solve problems.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Ability to work across cultures with all levels of organization as well as with different functions.
  • Willingness to travel globally or regionally as needed.
  • Adept at managing large scale initiatives via change management and a transformational mindset.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous environments and influence solution design
  • Experience with deploying Workday compensation module
  • Agile mindset, familiar working within a fast-paced environment and empathize when things pivot, using data to shape a clear path forward.
