What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Job Family Definition:

Cultivate and maintain strong, proactive, two-way relationships with key industry influencers that result in positive assessments and coverage for the company and its businesses.

Execute aggressive media pitching, executive interview and speaking programs, providing prep materials, coaching and counseling to ensure that presentations and interviews are \xe2\x80\x9con message.\xe2\x80\x9d Maintain strong, leverageable knowledge of competitor moves, market dynamics and customer issues that enable competitive PR moves. Manage, direct and motivate agencies to execute against stated plans and objectives. Manage measurement and evaluation of long-term and short-term effectiveness and recommend improvements. Scope may be global, regional, sub-regional or local/country. Ensure work aligns with company\xe2\x80\x99s brand identity and messaging framework.

Management Level Definition:

Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute and measure PR programs and tactics aimed at raising understanding and credibility of the company\'s offerings.
• Prepare news and launch activities, including coordinating media and analyst interviews, tours, events, generating releases, presentations and other materials as appropriate.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media, analysts and industry leaders (trade or local).
• Manage and direct assigned agencies or contractors as needed.
• Manage program budgets as assigned.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

• MA in Communications, Journalism, English.
• 5+ years of experience in PR, marketing or communications.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Solid writing and editing skills.
• Strong oral communications skills; ability to think on feet.
• An expert in MS Powerpoint, Excel and Word.
• Organization and program management skills.
• Ability to link PR plans and activities to business results.
• Analytic skills (measurement, ROI).
• Tact and diplomacy.
