Our exceptional team is what makes this happen for us, and we are looking to add a Communications Manager to help us define and maintain our public voice, and raise our profile through creating communications, PR and marketing activities. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across the organization to define and maintain the Q2 brand and public voice.
  • Create regular content from Q2 Impact\xe2\x80\x99s ongoing work and communicate this through compelling and informative content via the Q2 Impact website, LinkedIn, and other channels (videos, podcasts etc).
  • Work with each field team and the HO to develop style guides for all key departments.
  • Consult across the organization to establish robust communication policies.
  • Monitor and manage our online presence and engage with our community on social media platforms, forums, and other online channels.
  • Draft pertinent organizational news in the form of press releases, social media posts, blog posts, infographics, etc., while also handling interdepartmental memos and business correspondence.
  • Plan and execute community-building initiatives to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and engagement throughout the organization and among our stakeholders.
  • Support Q2 Impact\xe2\x80\x99s marketing efforts by designing capabilities statements for different clients including USAID, Department of State, and multiple DOD clients.
  • External Marketing. Represent QED at meetings and conferences and support staff members with meetings with external partners, potential clients, and other stakeholders. Prepare one-page summaries with pertinent corporate or practice content to be shared externally as needed.
  • Brand Management. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage and enhance brand recognition.
  • Internal Communication. Develop and lead new internal communications and employee engagement plans with HR, which may include intranet portals, internal newsletters and e-blasts, internal videos, lunch and learns, and contributions to internal training programs.
  • Develop and implement innovative and cutting-edge branding techniques.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in communications, content creation, and community management.
Skills and qualifications
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication skills and experience, including advanced copywriting, developing communications products and deliverables, and graphics design.
  • Expertise in business correspondence, PR, marketing, advertising, and social media best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership with an emphasis on team engagement, training, and mentorship across all department levels.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set and maintain goals, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of organization, planning, and coordination skills to ensure detail-oriented project ownership.
  • Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and the capacity to work independently.
  • Robust interpersonal skills fostering collaborative relationships and effective facilitation within group dynamics.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in communications, content creation, and community management, preferably in a similar role or industry.
  • Minimum five years of experience in communications, community management, or marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with all types of social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web content management systems experience.
  • Knowledge of graphics design principles and experience with design software is a plus.
Reporting Requirements
  • This position is remote and reports to the CEO.
