Job Description

The Commis Chef assists in daily kitchen operations by preparing food items as per standard recipes, maintaining hygiene, and supporting senior chefs to ensure timely and high-quality food service.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation



Assist in preparation and cooking of dishes as per instructions Follow standard recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines Support in Kerala, Indian, and basic continental cuisine preparation

Kitchen Operations



Prepare mise en place for daily operations Assist during service hours to ensure smooth kitchen functioning Help in receiving and storing raw materials properly

Hygiene & Safety



Maintain cleanliness of work area, utensils, and equipment Follow FSSAI and food safety standards Practice personal hygiene and proper food handling

Team Support



Work under guidance of Sous Chef and Executive Chef Assist senior chefs and learn new cooking techniques Coordinate with service staff when required

Waste Control



Minimize food wastage and report spoilage or shortages Follow FIFO and proper storage procedures
Qualifications & Requirements

Certificate/Diploma in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred 6 month - 1years of experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen (freshers may be considered) Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and cooking methods
Salary : Based On your experience
