Truebrew Cafe is seeking a skilled and passionate Commis I Chef with expertise in Italian cuisine. The ideal candidate will support our culinary team in preparing high-quality pasta, sauces, and continental dishes, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook Italian dishes including pasta, risotto, sauces, and baked items
Assist in executing recipes and plating to Truebrew standards
Maintain mise en place and ensure timely prep for service
Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation
Uphold hygiene and safety standards in all kitchen operations
Support inventory management and stock rotation
Collaborate with CDPs and Sous Chef for smooth kitchen flow
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in Italian cuisine (cafe, restaurant, or hotel)
Strong knowledge of pasta types, sauces, and Italian cooking techniques
Ability to follow recipes and plating guidelines
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and peak hours
Culinary certification preferred but not mandatory
