. The ideal candidate will support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of
Chinese and Continental dishes
, including starters, mains, and side dishes
Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines as set by senior chefs
Ensure all mise-en-place is prepared and ready before each service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation in accordance with hygiene and safety standards
Monitor proper storage and labeling of all food items to avoid cross-contamination
Support in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients
Learn and follow kitchen procedures, portion control, and plating techniques
Assist senior chefs in daily operations and special functions
Ensure minimal food waste and support kitchen cost control initiatives
Follow HACCP and food safety guidelines at all times
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, with exposure to both Chinese and Continental cuisine
Basic understanding of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
Good communication and time-management skills
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP preferred)
Willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen team
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary diploma or certificate from a recognized institute
Experience in hotels, fine-dining restaurants, or multi-cuisine kitchens
Passion for international cuisines and eagerness to improve culinary skills
