Job Description

The Commi-2 (Indian Cuisine) assists senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of authentic Indian dishes. Responsible for supporting mise-en-place, cooking as per recipes, and maintaining hygiene and quality standards in the Indian kitchen section.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in preparation and cooking of Indian curries, tandoor items, gravies, rice, breads, and accompaniments. Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards. Support Commi-1, DCDP, and CDP in daily kitchen operations. Ensure timely mise-en-place for service. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards. Handle ingredients carefully and minimize wastage. Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Assist in training and guiding Commi-3 and new staff when required. Report shortages, equipment issues, or maintenance needs to seniors.

Skills & Requirements:



Good knowledge of Indian cuisine (curries, tandoor, breads, gravies, rice, snacks). Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety practices (HACCP). Team player with good communication and positive attitude. Ability to multitask and work under pressure during peak hours.

Qualification & Experience:



Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent. 1-2 years of relevant experience in Indian kitchen (hotels/restaurants).

Pay: ?8,086.00 - ?22,542.83 per month
