Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled COMMI - 1 specializing in Indian, Tandoor, Continental, and Asian cuisines to join our culinary team in FERN HOTEL, Udaipur. This is a full-time, junior-level position that requires a passion for cooking and a dedication to quality. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in our kitchen operations, contributing to creating an exceptional dining experience through skillful preparation and presentation of dishes.
Qualifications and Skills

  • expertise in food preparation with the ability to follow recipes accurately and create dishes to a high standard
  • proficient in portion control ensuring each dish is prepared to meet company specifications and reduce wastage
  • strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • experience in menu planning to assist with designing innovative and diverse menus that attract customers
  • effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and maintain efficiency during peak service times
  • excellent attention to detail ensuring quality control in food presentation and taste (Mandatory skill)
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, providing support and assistance as needed
  • open to learning and adapting to new techniques and styles to enhance culinary skills
Roles and Responsibilities
  • prepare and cook a variety of dishes focusing on Indian, Tandoor, Continental, and Asian cuisines
  • assist the head chef and senior cooks in day-to-day kitchen operations and maintain kitchen equipment
  • ensure ingredients and supplies are well-stocked and organized for efficient workflow
  • maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to safety and sanitation regulations
  • participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for menu improvements
  • engage in quality control measures to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation
  • adapt to changing demands and handle kitchen challenges promptly and effectively
  • support the training and mentorship of junior kitchen staff and apprentices
