Job Description

The Commis III is responsible for assisting in food preparation, maintaining kitchen standards, and learning fundamental cooking techniques under the supervision of senior kitchen staff. This role serves as the foundation for building a culinary career.

Key Responsibilities



Food Preparation & Cooking



Assist in basic food preparation including chopping, dicing, and slicing vegetables Prepare mise en place for various kitchen stations Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines Assist in cooking simple dishes under supervision Maintain consistency in food preparation and presentation Learn and practice fundamental cooking techniques

Kitchen Operations Support



Set up and organize workstations before service Assist in inventory management and stock rotation Help with receiving and storing deliveries Support kitchen operations during peak service hours Assist in breaking down stations after service Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and utensils

Food Safety & Hygiene



Follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols Maintain personal hygiene standards at all times Properly store food items at correct temperatures Label and date all prepared items Report any food safety concerns to supervisors Participate in HACCP compliance procedures

Learning & Development



Observe and learn from senior chefs and kitchen staff Attend training sessions and skill development programs Practice new techniques and cooking methods Ask questions and seek feedback for improvement Study recipes and cooking procedures Develop knife skills and basic culinary techniques

Kitchen Maintenance



Keep work areas clean and organized throughout shift Wash dishes, pots, and kitchen equipment as needed Assist in daily kitchen cleaning tasks Help maintain kitchen equipment in good working condition Follow proper waste disposal and recycling procedures Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors

Team Support



Assist other kitchen staff as needed during busy periods Communicate effectively with team members Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff Help maintain positive kitchen atmosphere Support team goals and objectives Show willingness to help in any area of the kitchen
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?22,000.00 per month
