Job Title:

Commis II - Tandoor

Department:

Food & Beverage Production (Kitchen)

Reports To:

Commis I / CDP / Sous Chef

Job Purpose

To prepare and cook Indian and tandoor dishes as per standard recipes, assist in smooth kitchen operations, and maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety under the guidance of senior chefs.

Key Responsibilities

Tandoor Operations

Prepare and cook tandoor breads (roti, naan, kulcha, etc.) Handle tandoor starters Prepare marinades and dough Maintain proper heat control and safe tandoor handling
Hygiene, Safety & Kitchen Discipline

Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and utensils Follow FSSAI food safety and hygiene standards Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items Follow fire and safety procedures, especially in the tandoor section Minimize food wastage and report shortages
Team Coordination

Coordinate with service staff for smooth order flow Support and guide Commi III and kitchen helpers Follow instructions from seniors and contribute to team efficiency

Required Skills & Knowledge

Good knowledge of Indian spices and cooking techniques Understanding of tandoor operations and safety Ability to work under pressure during peak hours Time management and multitasking skills Willingness to learn and take responsibility

Qualifications & Experience

1.5 - 3 years

experience in Tandoor kitchen ITI / Diploma / Hotel Management certificate is a plus Experience in hotel, restaurant, or catering setup

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to stand for long hours Work in shifts, weekends, and holidays Heat-intensive kitchen environment

Pay: From ?16,000.00 per month
