: Commis I / Demi Chef de Partie / Chef de Partie (Chinese Cuisine)
Key Responsibilities
Cooking of Chinese cuisine dishes according to standard recipes and quality guidelines.
Carry out basic cooking tasks such as chopping, marinating, blanching, stir-frying, steaming, and plating.
Prepare mise en place, including sauces, stocks, garnishes, and ingredient portioning.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned workstation at all times.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards strictly.
Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies following FIFO procedures.
Support kitchen operations during service periods, including a la carte, banquets, and buffet service.
Properly handle kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.
Minimize food waste and support basic cost-control practices.
Perform any other duties assigned by senior kitchen staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum
1-2 years of experience
in a Chinese kitchen or relevant culinary training.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Team-oriented with a positive learning attitude.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Culinary certificate or apprenticeship is an advantage.
