Key Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking dishes from both Chinese and Continental menus
Follow recipes and instructions provided by the CDP or Sous Chef
Ensure timely and proper preparation of mise en place for the assigned section
Assist in grilling, sauteing, frying, and wok cooking as required
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation and equipment
Ensure proper storage and labelling of food items in compliance with food safety standards
Minimize waste and monitor portion control
Support the team during busy hours and contribute to smooth kitchen operations
Follow all kitchen SOPs, safety protocols, and hygiene standards (HACCP/FSSAI)
Maintain professional conduct and teamwork during service
Qualifications:
2-3 years of kitchen experience in Chinese and/or Continental cuisine
Basic culinary education or training from a recognized institution preferred
Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and handle pressure
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques (wok, grill, saute, boil, bake, etc.)
Flexible with shifts, including weekends and holidays
