Assisting the Chef de Partie with all aspects of food preparation.
Washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables and fruits.
Measuring and weighing ingredients accurately according to recipes.
Preparing basic components like salads, garnishes, and simple sauces.
Seasoning and cutting meats and fish.
Cooking and Plating
Cooking basic elements of dishes as directed by a senior chef.
Assisting with the final plating and presentation of meals.
Kitchen Operations
Managing and rotating stock, ensuring that all food items are correctly labeled, dated, and stored to minimize waste.
Receiving, unpacking, and organizing food deliveries, checking for quality and accuracy.
Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of their workstation and the kitchen.
Performing basic cleaning duties, including washing pots and ensuring all equipment is sanitized.
Carrying out daily and weekly checks, such as temperature monitoring.
Compliance and Safety
Adhering strictly to all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Reporting any malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards to a senior chef immediately.
