The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team by assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to high standards. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their culinary career and looking to develop skills under the guidance of experienced chefs.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in basic food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
Support Chef de Partie and other senior chefs in cooking and plating dishes.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, following all kitchen regulations.
Ensure workstations are clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
Assist in receiving, checking, and properly storing deliveries.
Follow recipes, instructions, and presentation specifications set by the kitchen leadership.
Learn and master kitchen techniques, equipment use, and menu items.
Contribute to minimizing food waste through proper storage and portion control.
Perform other duties as assigned to support smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
Passion for cooking and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
A culinary qualification or ongoing training is an advantage.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
