Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of Chinese dishes (stir-fries, noodles, rice, dim sum, soups, sauces, etc.).Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards as directed by senior chefs.
Ensure mise-en-place (chopping, cutting, marination, sauce preparation, etc.) is ready for service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation in compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
Assist in receiving and storing ingredients properly to maintain freshness and quality.
Minimize wastage and ensure efficient use of kitchen resources.
Cooperate and coordinate with colleagues in other sections to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Support senior chefs in menu development and food trials when required.
Adhere to hotel/resort kitchen policies, SOPs, and HACCP standards.
