As a Commis 3, you will assist in basic food preparation, maintain kitchen hygiene, and support the chefs in day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.
Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits.
Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment.
Help with receiving and storing deliveries following food safety guidelines.
Dispose of waste properly and maintain kitchen cleanliness at all times.
Support the kitchen team during service by restocking ingredients and assisting where needed.
Follow instructions and recipes accurately.
Learn and apply food hygiene and safety procedures as per HACCP standards.
Perform other duties as directed by Commis 1 or Chef de Partie.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety.
A certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts is an advantage, but not mandatory.
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior staff.
Good personal hygiene and cleanliness.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for food.
