. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing authentic veg Indian curries and tandoor dishes under the guidance of senior chefs while maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:Support in Curry Section:
Assist in basic preparation of gravies, vegetables, and spice mixes.
Cut, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients for curry dishes.
Follow instructions from Commi 1 or CDP for dish preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the curry section.
Support in Tandoor Section:
Assist in dough preparation for naan, roti, kulcha, etc.
Help in marinating paneer, vegetables, and other tandoori items.
Support the Tandoor Chef in grilling and baking under supervision.
Ensure proper handling and cleaning of tandoor equipment.
General Duties:
Keep the workstation clean and sanitized.
Follow hygiene, safety, and food handling standards.
Properly store leftover items and maintain stock rotation (FIFO).
Dispose of waste properly and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
Report any equipment or ingredient issues to the supervisor.
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in a similar kitchen role (vegetarian preferred).
Basic knowledge of Indian cooking techniques and tandoor operations.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions accurately.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Physically fit and able to work in hot kitchen environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic training in culinary arts or hotel management (preferred but not mandatory)
Prior experience in a vegetarian restaurant is an advantage
Work Schedule:
Rotational shifts (Lunch/Dinner)
Must be available on weekends and public holidays
