Assisting senior chefs in menu planning and recipe development.

Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and ensuring that all food safety standards are met.
Managing kitchen inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
Assisting in the development and implementation of new dishes and menu items.
Participating in kitchen meetings and providing input on kitchen operations and improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience as a Commis Chef, with a strong understanding of cooking techniques and food preparation.
Good leadership and management skills, including the ability to train and supervise junior kitchen staff.
A passion for cooking and a creative approach to food presentation.
Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy pots and pans, and work in a hot kitchen environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong sense of pride and attention to detail in your work.
Education:
A culinary arts degree or certificate from a culinary school is not always necessary, but can be beneficial for those seeking to advance in the culinary field.
On-the-job training and experience as a Commis Chef is typically required before becoming a Commis Chef 2.

Commis Chef 2s typically work long hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. They may work full-time or part-time, depending on the needs of the kitchen.
