Job Summary:



We are looking for a skilled and motivated

Commi 1

to assist in preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Indian vegetarian curries and tandoori dishes. The candidate will work under the guidance of the CDP to ensure high-quality food preparation and timely service.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and cook Indian vegetarian curries, gravies, and tandoori dishes following standard recipes and portion controls. Perform mise-en-place duties such as chopping, marinating, and preparing spice blends and batters. Operate tandoor ovens safely and efficiently to prepare items like tandoori breads, kebabs (veg), and grilled vegetables. Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation as per restaurant standards. Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and workstation as per FSSAI and HACCP guidelines. Assist in inventory checks, ingredient storage, and reporting shortages to the CDP or kitchen supervisor. Support the kitchen team during peak hours to maintain smooth workflow. Follow all kitchen safety and sanitation protocols.

Requirements:



Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commi or Cook in Indian vegetarian cuisine, especially curries and tandoori preparations. Good knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and tandoor operation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong attention to hygiene, food safety, and quality standards. Team player with willingness to learn and take direction from seniors.

Preferred Qualifications:



Culinary diploma or certificate in Indian cuisine (preferred but not mandatory). Experience working in multi-cuisine or pure vegetarian Indian restaurants.

Work Schedule:



Rotational shifts (lunch and dinner service). Availability on weekends and holidays is essential.
