Key Responsibilities:
Assist chefs in the preparation and presentation of food according to standard recipes.
Prepare ingredients including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
Cook menu items under supervision and ensure quality and consistency.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards as per HACCP guidelines.
Properly store food items and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
Assist with inventory control and stock management as needed.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Support team members and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by senior chefs.
Qualifications:
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
Basic understanding of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented approach.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
