Prepare and cook traditional Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, dals, and tandoori items like kebabs, naan, and tikka.
Operate and maintain the tandoor oven properly, ensuring consistent cooking temperatures and safety standards.
Follow recipes and presentation standards as directed by senior chefs.
Ensure proper portion control and minimize food wastage.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Indian and tandoor section.
Assist in receiving and properly storing kitchen supplies and raw materials.
Adhere to all food hygiene and safety regulations.
Support the Chef de Partie and other senior chefs during service.
Key Skills Required:
Experience in Indian cuisine and tandoor cooking techniques.
Understanding of spices, marinades, and Indian culinary terminology.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
Good knife skills and knowledge of food prep.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, especially in Indian restaurants or hotels.
Hands-on experience with tandoor oven is a must.
