Job Summary:



We are seeking a skilled and passionate

Commi 1 - Indian Curry & Tandoor

to join our kitchen team in a

Pure Vegetarian Indian Restaurant

. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing authentic Indian curries and operating a tandoor. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality vegetarian dishes while maintaining hygiene and kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities:Curry Section:



Prepare, cook, and present a variety of

Indian vegetarian curries

(North & South Indian). Handle mise-en-place, chopping vegetables, grinding masalas, and cooking gravies. Follow standard recipes and portion controls. Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.

Tandoor Section:



Operate the

tandoor oven

for preparing

tandoori roti, naan, kulcha, paratha

, and

tandoori starters

(paneer tikka, veg seekh kebab, etc.). Marinate and grill items as per recipe specifications. Monitor temperature and cooking times to avoid under/overcooking.

General:



Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation. Follow food safety, hygiene, and kitchen SOPs strictly. Assist senior chefs and contribute to smooth kitchen operations. Properly store and label ingredients and supplies. Minimize wastage and report any spoilage or stock issues.

Requirements:



Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Indian curry and/or tandoor section (veg only). Sound knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and vegetarian food. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Physically fit and able to work long hours in heat (tandoor area). Strong sense of hygiene, discipline, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:



Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (optional but preferred) Experience in a pure vegetarian or thali restaurant is an added advantage

Work Schedule:



Rotational shifts (Lunch & Dinner) Must be available on weekends and festivals
