Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of authentic Chinese dishes under the guidance of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
Maintain mise-en-place and ensure all ingredients and equipment are ready before service
Follow standard recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and utensils
Comply with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times
Store and label food items properly and monitor food stock levels
Receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring freshness and quality of ingredients
Assist in minimizing waste and optimizing kitchen efficiency
Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and service staff to ensure smooth coordination
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in the Chinese section
Basic knowledge of Chinese ingredients, sauces, and cooking techniques (wok handling, steaming, stir-frying, etc.)
Ability to work in a team and under pressure during busy service hours
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
Good hygiene practices and understanding of kitchen safety protocols
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
