Wash, peel, chop, and measure ingredients for dishes.
Prepare basic sauces and salads as directed.
Assist in cooking and plating various dishes under supervision.
Kitchen maintenance and hygiene:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the work area, including equipment and utensils.
Adhere to all food hygiene and safety regulations.
Ensure proper storage of food, including dating and rotating stock.
Stock and inventory:
Receive deliveries, verify the quality and quantity of items, and store them properly.
Monitor and report low stock levels to supervisors.
Discard expired or spoiled food items.
Team support:
Assist senior chefs and kitchen staff as needed.
Learn and apply recipes, cooking techniques, and presentation standards.
Support with food preparation for special events.
