Job Summary:

ZOCA Cafe, Bhiwani is seeking a skilled and motivated

Commi 1

to join our kitchen team, specializing in

Continental and Chinese cuisine

. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing a variety of dishes from these cuisines, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation meet the restaurant's high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a wide range of

Continental and Chinese dishes

as per standardized recipes. Handle mise-en-place, including chopping vegetables, marinating, and prepping sauces. Assist the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations and maintain smooth workflow. Ensure consistency in taste, portion sizes, and presentation of all dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation. Follow food safety, hygiene, and kitchen SOPs strictly. Manage proper storage of ingredients and minimize wastage. Assist in inventory checks and report any shortages or spoilage. Support junior kitchen staff and help in their training when required. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet service timelines.

Requirements:

Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Commi in Continental and Chinese cuisine. Good knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and recipes for both cuisines. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Physically fit and able to work long hours on feet.

Preferred Qualifications:

Culinary diploma or certificate in hotel management or culinary arts (preferred but not mandatory) Experience in a multi-cuisine restaurant environment Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, FSSAI)

Work Schedule:

Rotational shifts (Lunch and Dinner) Availability on weekends and public holidays is required
