Job Responsibilities:

• Assist senior deal managers/originators in sourcing and underwriting prospective real estate debt investments.
• Assist Asset Manager in underwriting and managing existing portfolio of ~ $9.5+B of mortgage and related investments.
• Conducting periodic credit reviews for the loans in the portfolio and suggesting internal rating changes.
• Continuous surveillance, monitoring and tracking of assets in the portfolio .
• Analysis of the market spreads and prices for all sectors within the Fixed Income
• Assist in making client reports and pitch-books.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with an institutional real estate investor or lender with responsibility for real estate underwriting.
• Should be MBA or equivalent.
• Familiarity with commercial real estate property related documents - operating statements, rent rolls, leases etc.
• Knowledge of fundamental real estate cash flow and valuation analysis for office, industrial, retail and multifamily sectors, using the income approach.
• Ability to evaluate real estate markets and sub-markets in terms of supply and demand dynamics and the positioning of the subject property within them.
• Experience researching and selecting comparable sale and lease transactions via on-line data sources including; Real Estate Intelligence Services, Real Capital Analytics, etc.
• Ability to review and analyze various legal documents including; mortgages, notes, participation and/or inter-creditors agreements, leases, entity organizational documents and third party reports including engineering, environmental and appraisal reports.
