About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager. In this role, you will: Responsibility includes, but not limited to: . Perform periodic reviews of credit reports prepared by credit underwriting team. . Review and validate the accuracy in financial analysis for commercial loans including, but not limited to: financial covenants, yield, industry and revenue analysis, and financing structure and terms. . Summarize errors and outline areas of risk from reviewing the credit underwriting details. . Accurately identify applicable credit policy exceptions by reviewing the credit documents. . Surface and escalate risk often identified from inadequate or failed processes, and error trends. . Clarify and credibly challenges in case of ambiguity or deviation to the policy and procedures. . Document and synthesize findings based on above mentioned conclusions into a report presented to credit underwriting team. . As needed, participate and provide SME expertise for business initiatives. . Understand the feedback received from the senior reviewers in the team and implement the same in their day to day work. . Quality-check the work performed by junior team members and provide appropriate feedback on the same. Required Qualifications: MBA (Finance /Banking), Cost and Management Accountancy, Chartered Accountancy or post- graduation in Economics. . 3 - 6 years of overall commercial credit experience across diversified asset classes (includes corporate entities and real estate asset class). . Sound knowledge on financial statements for various industries with ability to ascertain trends, ratios and call out key risks when compared to benchmarks (historical and industry performance). . Sound knowledge of Discounted Cash Flow, Comparable Company, and Precedent Transaction analysis. Working experience with Moody\'s Risk Analytics would be a plus. . Experience in assessing credit worthiness of borrower based on various qualitative and quantitative factors . Excellent communication skills, with special focus on business writing skills for credit reports. . Ability to read, comprehend and synthesize data regarding borrower performance / market related information from multiple sources into one prescribed template. . Intermediary to advanced excel skills would be a plus.
