The Commis Chef is responsible for supporting kitchen operations by assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items. This role is ideal for someone passionate about food & beverages, eager to learn, and ready to grow in the culinary field.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing ingredients, beverages, and cafe food items as per recipes and standards.
Support senior chefs in cooking, plating, and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen area.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items and raw materials.
Assist in daily stock checks and inventory management.
Learn and adapt to new recipes, techniques, and cafe menu changes.
Work as part of the kitchen team to deliver consistent quality and service.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or prior kitchen experience preferred (freshers welcome).
Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and hygiene standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
Team player with good communication and time management skills.
Passion for cooking and willingness to learn.
