Project Description The Project is for a Large International Investment Bank, Fixed Income & Currency line of business. It is planned to create a brand new Cash Settlement Engine (CSE). CSE will deliver a single cross-product settlement and payment initiation platform for cash products reducing the cost of ownership and improving operational efficiency. CSE should not be viewed as a standalone monolithic application running on its own dedicated infrastructure. Instead, CSE will form part of an Operations eco-system where a set of cooperating services will handle Cash Settlements, documentation (DICE), and Client Self Service. CSE will be hosted in the internal cloud with a clear glide path toward a future external cloud hosting solution. Responsibilities . In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes objects like deployments, nodes, pods, HPA, services, replica sets, jobs, volumes, secrets, roles, etc. . Set up Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL using terraform and Configured SA, IAM, and Cloud SQL Auth Proxy for secure access to cloud SQL. . Implemented Anthos Service Mesh using Istio in the Kubernetes clusters to manage, observe, and secure the services. . Expertise in creating, and managing GCP storage buckets along with configuring access and lifecycle policies. . Created template scripts/pipelines for Cl-CD using Terraform, Git Workflows, and Jenkins to rapidly build, test and deploy application code to GCP, and these are re-used by several other applications within the bank Kondor+ and Kondor Trade Processing application Functional knowledge of banking FX, MM, trade capture, confirmations, settlement, payments, accounting, regulatory reporting, etc System knowledge of KTP - Maintain statics, configurations, bank data, external mail configurations, etc Java knowledge: Java, Spring, Apache Camel, Hibernate Scripting: Shell scripting, Unix filesystem SDLC processes: Helping the L2 team to debug Production issues Analyze accounting breaks in KTP and fix them Database: Sybase, SQL Configuration of Swift messages: MT, MX Skills Must have Overall 7+ years of experience in Cloud Development & DevOps . Technical expertise in Google Cloud Platform: MS Azure, AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Jenkins, PL/SQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Sybase SQL, Unix, Shell Scripting, Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, Oracle AQs, Oracle Performance Tuning, REST, Confluent Kafka, Java, Python, Hibernate, Spring, Apache Camel, Control-M . Cloud and DevOps: Deep experience in various cloud functionalities like VMs, storage, networking, Kubernetes, IAM, Databases, Logging, Monitoring, Security, Load Balancing, Cloud CDN, DNS, Auto-Scaling, Data analytics, etc. Architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems for the end-to-end migrations of highly available on-prem banking applications to the Google Cloud Platform . Solid Experience in the database area of PL/SQL Tables, Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, Indexes, AQ, Collections, Analytical functions, and Exception handling for retrieving, manipulating, checking, and migrating complex data sets in the database . Design and implemented CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools like Terraform, GitHub, Git Actions, Helm, Jenkins, TeamCity . Familiar with networking services like VPCs, Firewall rules, Cloud NAT, DNS, CDN, and networking architectures like Simple VPC, VPC peering, Shared VPC, VPN, and Cloud Interconnect . Experience in designing and developing containerization solutions like Docker Products and Kubernetes to cater high availability of critical applications . Implemented security controls at infra, app, data, and observability levels using IAM, SAs, IAPs, Firewalls, TLS, ZTP, WAF, KMS, etc
