About the Inspire Global Innovation Center

Inspire Brands is disrupting the restaurant industry through digital transformation and operational efficiencies. The companys technology hub, the Inspire Global Innovation Center in Hyderabad, India, will lead technology innovation and product development for the organization and its portfolio of distinct brands. The Inspire Global Innovation Center will focus on developing new capabilities in data science, data analytics, eCommerce, automation, cloud computing, and information security to accelerate the companys business strategy. Inspire Global Innovation Center will also host an innovation lab and collaborate with start-ups to develop solutions for productivity optimization, workforce management, loyalty management, payments systems, and more.



PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

You will play a key role in shaping the future of disruptive digital innovation in Restaurant industry. This talented individual should have a passion and drive for designing Cloud infrastructure, automation and operations. Principal Engineer, DevOps/ Cloud Architect is responsible for leading the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of Inspires initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms. By working with other bright engineers and IT associates, this role will be hands on in the latest technologies and in the ever changing and growing Cloud Technologies.?

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cloud Architecture and Design and Development:
• Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)
• Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for Inspire cloud end to-end architecture, including Azure, AWS and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management
• Develop a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns, based on the Inspire application portfolio, as a basis for deploying services to the cloud
• Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the why, and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation
• Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.
• Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for?private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services
• Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications?
• Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy

Consultation:

• Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment
• Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/nonfunctional requirements
• Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners
• Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk
• Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations

Thought Leadership:

• Provide thought leadership in industry and to fellow team members across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements.
• Demonstrate forward thinking around where the organization is going and how technology can support these efforts
• Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systems

Mentoring:

• Act as the coach and mentor to team members and technical staff on their assigned project tasks
• Develop a cohesive team and ensure their continued success
• Lead the definition and development of cloud reference architecture and management systems
• Conduct product work reviews with team member

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:

• 10+ years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations, 8+ years of support including experience in engineering skills experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:

• Development background with strong programming skills is a plus
• Experience with Azure, AWS and VMWare enterprise implementations
• Experience with Cloud Migration strategies including Hybrid Cloud Implementations
• Knowledge of all components of an Technical Architecture
• Knowledge of business process re-engineering
• DevOps certifications will be a plus
• Strong understanding of network, Infra architecture and application development methodologies
• Strong understanding of SOA, Microservices, Object-oriented analysis and design
• Virtualization (ESX, Open stack, etc.)
• Programming languages (Python, Go, Shell, Ruby, PowerShell,, etc.)
• Experience in Infrastructure management and automation technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Datical, Azure DevOps
• Experience in monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace
• Experience in NoSQL technologies like Postgres, Cassandra, CouchDB, MongoDB, HBase will be a plus
• Experience in Operations management of Data bricks, Snowflake, Azure SQL Warehouse is a Plus
• Experience in Retail, Travel/ Hospitality, Financial or Healthcare industry will be a plus
