We seek a talented and dynamic Climate Change Risk Advisory with relevant experience to join our growing team and work collaboratively with the Regional Strategic Consulting Teams. Job Responsibilities: Some of the key responsibilities of the position and skills sought include:
  • Working collaboratively with Regional Strategic Consulting teams to help win, deliver and manage projects for a broad range of public and private sector clients.
  • Undertaking climate change risk assessments and developing climate resilience strategies for clients in different market sectors.
  • Developing and documenting project climate resilience or sustainability frameworks.
  • Jacobs\xe2\x80\x99 climate change group delivers a diverse range of city- and nation-building projects and has an excellent reputation for delivering high quality, innovative work. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work at all levels, from detailed management plans to high level policy; working across varied government policies, clients and authorities
  • Contribute to analysing policies that can be deployed to incentivise a scale-up in renewable energy, particularly in end-uses, providing case studies, identifying lessons learnt and policy recommendations.
  • Ability to translate complex processes and concepts in non-technical and end-user friendly language.
  • Experience in interpretation and application of energy/regulatory frameworks applicable to power generation and distribution at state and national levels across regions.
  • Design and develop programmes related to the application of long-term planning and modelling materials for capacity building and provide quality control for the deliverables.
  • Proactively search for and identify new links and opportunities for outreach \xe2\x80\x93 both internal and external \xe2\x80\x93 to achieve greater impact of planning and modelling analysis.
  • Assertiveness and willingness to take the initiative, e.g. drives projects forward proactively, makes things happen, has a can do attitude and presents possible solutions to more senior staff.
  • Willingness to learn to improve the spectrum of technical and softer skills required from a good consultant.
Here\xe2\x80\x99s What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need:
Here\xe2\x80\x99s what you will need:
  • A postgraduate or professional qualification in Bachelors / Masters\xe2\x80\x99 degree majoring in Engineering / Science or a related field.
  • More than 5 years of experience working in climate change risk/vulnerability assessment and adaptation planning, with the ability to provide advisory & delivery services.
  • Have experience in one or more related sectors (e.g. water, rail, aviation, ports and waterways, highways and toll roads, social infrastructure, healthcare).
  • Understanding of how to develop numerical and narrative-based climate projections.
  • Experience climate change impact studies in terrestrial and/or coastal environments
  • Understanding and experience of TCFD reporting framework and guidelines
  • Experience with developing climate adaptation measures and planning
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking, exposure to team work as well as global stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong research & analysis ability supplemented with excellent report writing capabilities.
  • Effective communication including presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels professionally
