Rackspace is looking to hire a Technical Consultant for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure who has solid experience at supporting customers to access remotely any type of applications. We would be interested in Citrix/DaaS and Windows Desktop technologies as a must have. The Technical Consultant - VDI will be supporting the sales team and act as a consultant in helping to define the best solution for the customer and supporting the steps to get to the target state. As part of this role there will be a requirement to educate and support the existing Rackers in Training & Architecture solutions as you evolve their technical understanding of the offering.

Key Responsibilities:

The roles requires managing the Citrix gold image, morning health checks, troubleshooting end user issues, project tasks and SIP\'s. The engineer has to coordinate with the application support engineer in testing applications on maintenance image for smooth live deployment. The role holder will also be responsible for integrating virtualized and packaged application in Citrix gold image. The role is more of end user facing and have to work closely with end users on issue resolution and manage tickets queue.

Skills

Run and provide recommendations for architecture design and strategic initiatives that require application virtualization and/or virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)

Responsible for identifying and solving technical issues related to the Citrix DaaS solution, which, in addition to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops can include OS level troubleshooting, webserver, database server, applications server, DNS, or other software issues.

- Highly proficient with XenApp and XenDesktop LTSR and previous versions

- Design and architecture expertise in

- XenApp

- Citrix DaaS

- XenDesktop

- Citrix Storefront

- Citrix Desktop Delivery Controller

- Citrix Provisioning Services

- Citrix UPM

- Citrix Director.

Windows 10 expertise and

AVD user support exposure/experience coupled with

Expertise on Microsoft Windows platforms, Active Directory, DNS and GPO

FSlogix

Gold image mgmt (app publishing/patching)

Azure Monitor (OMS/log analytics)

Strong knowledge of Citrix ADC/Netscaler Secure Gateway \
