Designation: Head Operation-Plant Head (Candidates above 50 lpa should only apply since this is a Senior level profile)

Location: Chikli (near Surat, Gujarat)

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

20 years of experience

Educated to degree level (preferably Engineering)

Desired Skills:

Demonstrable experience of leading a manufacturing function with a proven track record in strategic manufacturing leadership delivering effective manufacturing strategies, policies, processes and systems.

Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.

Proven project management and build quality experience.

Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level.

Knowledge and technical understanding of manufacturing processes, components and techniques

Purpose of the Role:-

Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximising efficiency, optimising production levels and driving operational excellence.

Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Manufacturing function to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customer.
• Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
• Create and implement best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
• Take ownership of the manufacturing policy, guidelines and any associated documents.
• Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximising efficiency, optimising production levels and driving operational excellence.
• Ensure that manufacturing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilise assets to produce optimal results.
• Coordinate team activities to optimise cost performance of the plant through capital investment programes, optimising operating working capital usage and minimising waste through the development of a continuous improvement culture encompassing lean principles and clear strategic development.
• Responsible for developing the appropriate organisational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables.

Introduce/implement Best Manufacturing Practices. * Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.

• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilise assets to produce optimal results.

Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus. * Responsible for developing the appropriate organisational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables.

• Capacity enhancement and production cost reduction through reduction of cycle time, flow time, downtime losses & yield losses.
• Successfully commissioned new machines and stabilized production processes to achieve estimated operating efficiency targets.
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimise productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective results.
