Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled

Commis 1 - Chinese Cuisine

to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing authentic Chinese dishes, maintain high food quality standards, and ensure a clean and efficient kitchen operation under the guidance of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes, including stir-fries, noodles, dim sum, soups, and sauces, according to standardized recipes and quality expectations. Assist in the mise en place (preparation) for daily operations in the Chinese section. Follow proper food handling and hygiene practices at all times. Ensure proper portion control and minimize food waste. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned kitchen area. Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely and efficient service. Maintain kitchen equipment and tools in good working condition. Support senior chefs in training junior staff or commis II/III as needed. Adhere to all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Chinese cuisine, preferably in a hotel or high-volume restaurant. Strong knowledge of traditional Chinese cooking techniques (e.g., wok cooking, steaming, braising). Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment. Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety. Culinary diploma or certification is a plus but not mandatory. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions:

Physically demanding role; requires standing for long periods and working in hot kitchen environments. Shift-based schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
