, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of authentic Chinese dishes under the supervision of senior chefs. You are expected to maintain high standards of food hygiene and ensure quality and consistency in all dishes prepared.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook Chinese dishes such as stir-fry, dim sum, noodles, rice dishes, soups, and sauces.
Ensure food is prepared according to standardized recipes and presentation standards.
Assist senior chefs in mise en place and service preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to supervisors.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
Follow all kitchen procedures and company policies.
Support other sections of the kitchen when required.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in Chinese or Asian cuisine.
Basic knowledge of traditional Chinese cooking techniques.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Team player with good communication skills.
Willingness to learn and take direction.
Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary diploma or relevant certification.
Prior experience in a hotel or high-volume restaurant environment.
